World Changing Speech
Vision to Voice
-
A speech that releases the power of change. A great speech sets out to do something to an audience, not merely to say something. This art is forgotten. The best speeches make a hero out of the trembling heart.
-
A speech that touches the deepest desires of the human heart. A great speech stirs a person in their deepest being, calling out the best version of themselves to do what is needed whatever the cost.
- A speech that sets people free to flourish. Too often the speeches of leaders are out to create conformity – to ask for more obedient citizens, or more cooperative consumers. Too little do they speak to the “revolutionary” within. People want to change the world. They must be freed to do so.
- A speech that calls people to cooperate. We can never change the world alone. We must co-operate. A great speech offers an invitation to play an active role in a larger movement of change that transcends individual effort.
- A speech that paints a greater story to live in. A world changing speech never seeks to defend a status quo. There is a sober admission that something is broken, and prescribes a better way, not to an unattainable utopia, but a vision of attainable human flourishing.
